A Brief Post

I’ve been on a bit of a roll lately, initially triggered by my procrastination, but I carried on after the deadline passed. However, I’m seeing a downward trend in my readership and engagement, and I can only think this is due to a decline in quality and perhaps also not allowing my posts to “breathe”. Elsewhere on the internet, I wrote a 5000-word story yesterday which got two thousand views as of now, so that was quite good, and in any case this is mainly a place to stick my walls of text where people are not obliged to read them but I still get some sense of having expressed myself. Today’s post was going to be about personality disorders, but I think if I give myself a little more time to write a good-quality piece, it’ll be more worthwhile. In the meantime, here are links to some of my more popular posts:

I’ve also reviewed every Star Trek The Original Series episode plus the Animated Series and TNG, starting here. At some point I’ll post a list of all of these in chronological order.

See you soon!

  1. I can only speak for myself, of course, and I do not.posess the intellect of those you might be aiming your writing at, so perhaps my.comment is going to be a little unfair……but……I get into your writing, find it interesting and then start to find it heavy going as you delve into so many theories held by so many philosophers etc and I get bored. For me, and numerous people with a lesser intellect, the point is best made by one, or two at the most, examples using the common language of the common person. But perhaps your writings are not aimed at the likes of me, and that’s ok.

    1. I wouldn’t say it wasn’t aimed at you Steve, and your feedback is very welcome. The real question is how representative you are of potential readership. Sometimes I do actually write specifically with you in mind, e.g. the Dali one.

      1. I’m honoured you write specifically for me sometimes. I cant say how representative I am of your public but I would assume that in the world there are more of me than there are of others. It depends on how you market your product. But I do not know how to do that. If I did then my art would sell. I would suggest you adopt the mind set of most artists, who create art because it makes them feel good doing so. I have been considering returning to my own workspace blog because if your writings, so you have inspired, and that’s good, isnt it ?

      2. Thanks. I’m not sure I even have a public TBH. These are, as I’ve said, my glistening secretions! If they weren’t on here they’d be in a notebook or diary, and in fact some of them are. But yes, I do write for you sometimes. You and I have the same issue regarding marketing I think, and I don’t know the answer. I’m just glad I haven’t passed that ignorance on to the children really.

Glad you’re going back to your blog. I’ll have to read it more often.

      1. I read it, and the previous one. I ought to read your blog more Steve. I’m sorry I haven’t. I’ll comment. I found the one about male privilege very touching.
